RHP Kenta signs a minor league deal with Maida Cubs

A week after the release by Detroit Tigers, veteran right -handed Kenta Maida agreed to a minor league contract with the Chicago cub on Friday.
The 37 -year -old Maeda did 7.88 era in seven relief appearances for tigers before being nominated for assignment on 1 May and placed on release waves on 7 May.
Maeda signed a two -year, $ 24 million deal with tigers before the 2024 season but failed to meet expectations. He overtook 3-7 with 6.09 ERA in the previous season before continuing the struggle this season.
Maeda has 68-56 records and 226 shows 4.20 Era (172) with Los Angeles Dojers (2016-19), Minnesota Twins (2020–23) and tigers. He missed the entire 2022 season after undergoing late Tommy John surgery in the 2021 season.
MADA won a career-best 16 games for doors in 2016, when she finished third in the National League Ruckie of the Year Race. He was runner-up for the American League Cyg Young Award in the 2020’s epidemic-Sharted 2020 campaign.
