Rhine Howard hit a record-hang 9 trace as Dream Down Sky

Rhine Howard submerged a WNBA-record-tie nine 3-pointers and scored a season-high 36 points, leading Atlanta’s dream to win an 88-70 victory over Chicago Akash on Friday at College Park, GA.

Howard, who had 19 long distance attempts, matched the single-game record of the league organized by Calsey Mitchell (2019 Connecticut Sun), Jewel Loyd (2023 Washington Mistics) and Erik Ogunbole (2024 Indiana fever).

Alisha Gray added 15 points while Brione Jones compiled 13 points and 11 rebounds for Atlanta (7-3), which won their sixth game in seven attempts. Jordan Canada had 12 points and eight assistance.

Kamila Cardoso logged 15 points and nine rebounds for Chicago (2-7). Angel Reese had 12 points and nine boards, and Ariel Atkins ended with 12 points. Akash dropped his third straight game and fell on the road to 1-5.

The run continued after Jones’s break with three-point play and Howard’s paste gave the dream his biggest leadership at that point at 71-56.

Atlanta took a 15–12 lead in the second quarter, Sky used 13–0 runs-including 31-23 consecutive-31-23 of Rachel Banam.
