Washington, DC, will host the 2027 NFL draft on Sunday night, according to several media reports.
The Washington Post reported that an official announcement could be made at the White House on Monday, where President Donald Trump’s public event included a “sports declaration” at 1 pm.
The annual spring draft is determined for Pittsburgh in 2026, the next available year with 2027. Washington would be the first host as NFL began to rotate the sites from New York in 2015.
According to the Washington Post and Exios, the expected site, the National Mall, is a proposal for a main platform near the National Gallery of Art and National Air and Space Museum.
The 2024 draft in Detroit attracted a record crowd of 775,000 fans in three days, with an estimated 600,000 Green Bay, in the last month’s three-day draft in Vis.
Washington is riding a berth in the NFC Championship Games in the second year in the second year under Josh Harris, a surprising 12–5 season of the commanders and the new majority owner Josh Harris. Quarterback Jaden Daniel NFL was an aggressive Ruki of the Year.
