Wall Street Journal reported that President Donald Trump has asked his colleagues to initiate research on building an executive order to better control the name, image and equality landscape in college games.

His instructions came after a meeting with former Alabama football coach Nick Saban in Tuskalosa, Ala, where Trump was the commission speaker of the school.

Since 2021, and under pressure from states and courts, NCAA has allowed students-athletes to benefit from their name, image or equality. It is very early to know what Trump’s executive order will be.

Saban has been important for funding in the past, roughly because he was concerned about the impact on college football. Nil Yuga has also increased the transfer portal era, in which thousands of students are demanding to transfer schools to all sports – some of them for large payments.

Last December on ESPN, Saban said last December, “Every year, it has deteriorated a bit.” “First year we had name, image and equality four, five years ago, we had $ 3 million [roster]And everyone was happy. Then the next year it was $ 7 million, then the next year it is $ 10 million. Then this year it is $ 13 million. Now they are watching $ 20 million. I mean where does it end? ,

In a report by Houston Chronicle earlier this week, Texas Longhorn’s estimated that it would be a budget of $ 35 million to $ 35 million for its 2025 football roster.

According to a Wall Street Journal report published on Friday, Saban told the President that he was not trying to end Nil funding for the players, but instead wanted to see the construction of a higher level playground between deep -pocket schools and who did not have much money.

Trump has also discussed Nil Funding with former Obern Chief Football Coach Sen Tommy Tubberville (R-Ella).

Saban has previously stated that the current model is unstable for college game, and Trump clearly agreed.

The NCAA refused to comment to the Wall Street Journal on a possible executive order.
