Report: Penguin Star andgeni Malkin is likely to be the next season

The upcoming NHL season may be finally final for Pittsburgh Penguin star Evgeny Malkin.

The Russian center has repeatedly stated that he does not want to play anywhere, but in Pittsburgh, where he has played his entire 19-year career.

However, Penguin is not expected to offer another contract to Malkin when his current deal ends after the 2025–2026 season, the athletic said on Monday.

Malkin is not expected to signed with another team allegedly at NHL, but may detect its career in KHL to continue his career in Russia.

The second overl pick of 2004 NHL draft, Malkin is a four-time all-star, who led the League in two points (2008-09, 2011-12) and earned a heart trophy in 2012 as the MVP of the League. He won the three Stanley Cup Championship with Penguins (2009, 2016, 2017).

This season, Malkin had 50 points (16 goals, 34 support) in 68 matches. He ranks second in franchise history in the Games (1,213) and thirds in targets (514), assist (832) and points (1,346).

Sydney Crossbie and Chris Letang have two other big names of Pittsburgh in the final year of their contracts in the upcoming season.
