ESPN said on Saturday that New York Nix had planned to interview two head coaches during the 2024–25 season, as they seek a replacement for the rejected coach Tom Thibodo.

Former Sacramento Kings coaches Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins set for chatting with Nax, who had given coaching to Memphis Grizzleez, according to the report.

Nix has been separated in his efforts to talk with the current NBA head coaches, their teams have not allowed. The list includes Jason Kid (Dallas Maveryx), Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwells), IME Udoka (Houston Rockets) and Quinn Snider (Atlanta Hawks).

After losing to Indiana pacers in the final of the Eastern Conference, Nux fired Thibodo last week – first when they moved forward in that round in 25 years.

55-year-old Brown was drawn 31 games in his third season at Sacramento, where he posted a overall record of 107–88. He was earlier the head coach of Cleveland Cavaliers (2005–10, 2013-14) and Los Angeles Lakes (2011-12) and a career record of 454–304 in the regular session.

Their teams are 50–40 in Postsen, and Brown took Lebron James-led cavaliers to the NBA final in the 2006–07 season. Cleveland was swept away by San Antonio Spider.

He was named NBA coach twice with Cleveland after the 2008-09 season, and then with Sacramento in 2022–23, when he led the Kings for his first Postsen in 16 seasons.

Grizlies fired 40-year-old Jenkins in March, with nine matches and 44–29 records in the regular season. At that time he was excluded. Grizzleez was tied in fourth place in the Standing at the Western Conference. He finished the season 3-6 and fell into the play-in round, capturing the number 8 seeds.

He was swept away by top seed Oklahoma City Thunder in the play-in round.

Jenkins had 250–214 records in about six full sessions with Grizzle’s Grizzleez. He qualified for the playoffs three times and was 9–14, winning just one series.
