Report: Kings, GM Monte Monkere after Play-in Loss

Sacramento Kings and General Manager Monte McCenaire agreed to participate mutually after playing Dallas Maveryx on Wednesday, several outlets said on Thursday.
MCNAIR completed his fifth season in role. In Sacramento’s 2022-23, he was named NBA executive after the league-riddled 16-year playoff drought drought.
The Ninth seeded Sacramento season ended with a domestic loss of 120–106 to 10th seeded Dallas. The Kings ended 40–42 in the regular season.
MCNAIR allegedly lost decision -making power in the organization, which this season fired head coach Mike Mike Brown after 31 games and created waves with a series of significant roster tricks. Sacraramanto signed Darmar Derejan as a free agent in July and traded the Dearon Fox on a time limit and acquired Zach Lavin from Chicago Bulls.
The Kings compiled a .488 winning percentage in five sessions under McNAir as compared to the .362 clip during the last five campaigns.
MCNAIR worked in September 2020 in the front office of Houston Rockets for 13 years before hiring as Kings GM and Chairman of Basketball Operations.
