Report: hiring Mike Brown as Head Coach

New York Nix is expected to appoint a two -time NBA Coach of the Year Mike Brown as his new head coach, ESPN said on Wednesday.
Brown, 55, was fired last December by Sacramento Kings after a two-plus season. He first granted coaching to Cleveland Cavalirs (2005–10) and Los Angeles Lakes (2011–12) and his career record is 454–304.
Brown replaced Tom Thibodo, who was fired a month ago after leading Nax in the final of the Eastern Conference in 25 years.
Nux allegedly conducted a second interview with Brown on Tuesday and was also said that James Borrigo, head coach of former Charlets Hornets and Micah Nori, assistant coach of Minnesota Timbervols, were considered.
Naras laid a wide trap to replace Thibodo. He attempted to interview the current head coaches – which included Jason Kid of Dallas Maveryx, Chris Finch of Timberwells and Ima Udoka of Houston Rockets – but were denied permission by those teams.
He also interviewed former Memphis Grizzle coach Taylor Jenkins as well as South Carolina Championship winning coach Don Steel for the inauguration.
Brown has won four NBA Championships as an assistant coach with San Antonio Spurs (2003) and Golden State Warriors (2017, 2018 and 2022). He led cavaliers in the 2006–07 NBA final, where he was swept away by the spurs.
