Report: Grand Slam track still owes $ 13m to athletes

The Grand Slam track still owes about $ 13 million to athletes, who competed in the events in this spring, the front office sports stated on Thursday.

According to the report, from April 4-6, only attendance fee has been paid for the initial meeting in Kingston, Jamaica.

Fos reports that the Startup League for competitions in Miami (2–4 May) and Philadelphia (31 May-June 1) leaves the prize money for all programs and attendance fees.

Fosted on Tuesday obtained a copy of an email sent to representatives of athletes, interpreting the time -line for pending payments.

“At this time, the appropriate paperwork sent by all agents has been released to the attendance fee payment for Kingston,” read the email. “Our plan is to pay the Kingston Award for the end of July and for the remaining payment by the end of September, including the Los Angeles attendance fee.”

Last month, the Grand Slam track canceled its last program to be held in Los Angeles from 28–29 June.

The league, which was founded by a four -time Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson, began with $ 30 million, with a prize money of $ 12.6 million.
