Report: Essential marks for Owgr live golf events

Members of Live Golf are on the verge of a major victory after less than two months after leaving their two -year push to get the official world golf rankings points.
According to Sports, the Ovague and Saudi-funded league launched in 2022 is with an agreement to reward live players points for the first time. Landmark Steps may be a step towards bringing top players of golf together at the marquee events.
Owgr is an important metric used to determine the player eligibility for the major championship.
The new OWGR president, Trevor Emailman, replaced Peter Dawson and was seen in a friendly conversation with the new Live Golf CEO Scott O’Neel during the 2025 Masters earlier this month.
O’Neel has created an important headway since playing a role for Greg Norman this year, which includes a television rights and media compromise with Fox and Equipment Sponsing with major brands such as collave.
The absence of a route towards obtaining OwGR ranking points was seen as a blockade for some players to join the PGA Tour contestant and historically was a possible reason for top live talent to return to major circuits. Many players signed a contract with LIV, setting to end after this season with those deals.
Bryson Decombo is number 12 in the current OWGR rankings and last season is 10th. The Patrick Reeds of Tierel Haton and Live Golf are also in the current top 50 in Owgr.
Data golf, which ranks all players regardless of its affiliation, ranks John Rahm No. 3 and Decombo fourth. Rum is ranked 73rd in Ovague.
As formed, LIV players are banned from earning ranking points for events on their circuits. By participating in large companies of European Tour and PGA, LIV players obtain points.
The US Open and the British Open exempted the live players to qualify for live players earlier this year.
Jokin Neemon, number 7 in Data Golf Ranking, was qualified for the US Open on the basis of its live win in Mexico City last week. He is currently ranked 83rd in OwGR.
