NFL’s Executive Vice President Brian Rolap is leading for a new role as CEO for PGA Tour, several media outlets reported on Thursday.

According to reports, Rollup decided to quit his role after working 22 years with NFL. The PGA tour has not been confirmed to be employed, but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodll has allegedly messaged to the team which informs them about Rolap’s decision on Thursday.

Athletic reported that Rolap PGA Tour Enterprises will take charge of the newly created for-profit outfits of the circuit.

The PGA Tour has been demanding a CEO to work with Commissioner J Monahan since December. Some notable names have been associated with the situation, including NASCAR Commissioner Steve Phelps.

Rollup stands as a natural fit, as he has been the leading media and business officer of NFL during the exponential growth period by the league. He is considered a possible successor for Goodale, and is unlikely to a new role as a CEO in a separate supporter sports attempt.

Rolapp has been in its current role of advertising, sponsorship and media contracts since 2017. Earlier, he was NFL COO and senior VP of media strategy and digital media. He was also the CEO of NFL Network and also an executive VP of NFL Media.

There is a committee of PGA Tour which is looking for the next CEO. This includes Monahan, PGA Tour Player Directors Tiger Woods and Adam Scott and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blanc.
