The third phase of the Triple Crown of Horse Racing Belmont Stax will be allegedly run in the Sharatoga Race Course for the third consecutive year in 2026.
The NBC affiliation at WNYT-13, Albani, NY, reporting that Belmont is being planned on the historic upstate track next year as work is going on to rebuild Bellmont Park on Long Island.
The 2025 race will be held on 7 June at Shartoga Springs.
The New York Racing Authority has targeted as a full date for work at Belmont Park on September 2026, but expected the track may host Belmont in next June, per WNYT per WNYT.
NYRA spokesperson Pat McCena told the affiliate that the organization was not ready to make any commitment about the 2026 edition before running 2025.
He said, “Nyra focuses on operating a successful and memorable 2025 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival in Saratoga Race Course next week.” “However, we certainly appreciate the interest around the 2026 edition and will finalize and declare our location in the coming weeks.”
The lineup for Belmont of the next weekend has not been finalized, but there is a possibility that Kentki winners both sovereignty and journalism, both, will win, will be victorious in the pre -pricing Stax.
