Reds nominations Inf Jeimer Candelario for assignment

Cincinnati Reds on Monday nominated Infielder Jeimer Candelario for assignment, which was in half a way through a three -year, $ 45 million contract, which he signed before the 2024 season.

The 31 -year -old Candelario was in the wounded list since late April due to a lumbar spinal stress. Reds reinstated it from IL on Monday to DFA to the legendary first and third basman.

Candelario played in 22 matches, starts with the third base with 12 and begins for the first time before going to IL in seven. He batted with two domestic runs and 10 RBI with an Abysmal. 113 (9 -for -80).

In his first season in Cincinnati, he performed 112 and batted with 20 Homeers, 23 Doubles and 56 RBI.

After stent with Chicago Cubs (2016–17) and Detroit Tigers (2017-22), Candelario divided between the best sessions of his career in 2023, between Washington National and Cubs. He batted .251 with a height of 22 homeers and 70 RBI career, inspired Reds to pursue free agency.

Reds are proceeding as their main corner with Christian Encarnasian-Strand, Noelvi Marte and Spencer Stere.
