
Trevor Story and Seddan Rafala on Sunday helped each completion three-game sweeps to help Boston Red Sox by defeating Washington National 6-4.
The story hit a two -run domestic run, which was part of Boston’s first innings of four runs, and Rafela scored a single home run in the ninth. Rafela had three hits out of 12 hits of Boston.
Red Sox, who has won five of his last six matches, dropped the National out of 27–9 in the series.
Boston Ace Garat Crochet (9–4) beat in the first five innings and got out with a 4–2 lead. He allowed nine hits, hit seven and two went away.
Brady House collected three hits for Washington, with 12 hits posted but lost four of their last six matches.
Washington’s left-arm Xinosuke Ogaswara (0–1) started its major league, but was pulled with two outskins in the third after throwing 55 pitches. He conceded four runs on seven hits and hit two.
Red Sax led 4–0 five batsmen in the game. After Roman Anthony an RBI single and Rob refiner after RBI double, the story scored two runs. This was his 14th homer in the season and was third in the last seven matches.
Citizens cut Boston’s lead 4–2 in the third, when they got a run-scoring single from Paul Desong and a run-scoring single from RBI.
Red Sox took a 5–2 lead over a Romi Gonzalez Sacrifice Fly, which allowed Rafala to score in the seventh.
Boston Reliever Greg Vessert carried out Louis Garcia Junior 5–3 with locations loaded below the seventh, but Boston took a three-run lead, when Rafala ran a house against Andrew Chaffin in the ninth. It was Rafela’s second home and in many sports and in her 11th season.
Washington lagged behind Delain Lil’s two-outs 6–4 in the ninth after two-out single, but Jordan Hicks retired CJ Abrams on a fly ball and left to finish the game. Despite allowing a run in his only innings on the mound, Hicks earned his first savings of the season.
