Boston’s manager Alex Kora told reporters on Saturday that Red Sox has stopped the rehabilitation attempts of the right hand pitcher Crofford.

Crawford has not picked in a game this season as he deal with discomfort in his right knee pateller tendon, a condition that has hurt him since last season, as well as a wrist injury.

He threw two bulfane sessions this week in the hope of going to a rehabilitation assignment, but would fly to Boston for further testing instead.

“He started playing catch, he did not feel very good about it, so we are going to shut them down,” Kora said. “We are going to Boston to Boston, to see where we are. With the wrist, he was not able to create a velocity, so it is a concern and a concern for him, if he is trying to do something, the shoulder comes into the game.”

The 28-year-old Crawford hit the ground with a record of 1-0 to start the 2024 season and to start its first five 0.66 ERA. He injured his knee by covering the first Aadhaar in a game against Baltimore Oraols on April 10 last season.

Cropford ended the season with 9–16 records and 4.36 ERA, leading the league at Start (33), and in the innings the Red Sox picked (183 2/3) and strikeout (175), but knee issues disturbed her before the 2025 season and wrist issues.
