The MLS, which enters the matchup weekend, is included in the top two scorer – Sam Sarij (16 goals) of Nashville and Lionel Messi (14) of Miami.

Messi made history earlier this week after scoring a 2–1 goal over New England on Wednesday. Messi became the first MLS player to score several goals in four consecutive regular seasons.

After the game, Miami’s coach Xavier Mantrano said, “Obviously Leo is a special player. For me, he is the best player who has played this game in history.” “So it’s incredible because he continues to do such things that perhaps many, many years ago we thought that maybe we can’t see at this level, no?”

On the injury front, Miami’s goalkeeper Oscar Ustari experienced some shoulder trouble during Wednesday’s match. If the razor cannot play, the backup William Yarbro can be tabed to make its first beginning.
