Record 2.4 million saw Texas Win WCWS on Texas Tech

It was not just celebrating a historic victory in the Women’s College World Series on Texas Tech last week in Texas.
On Friday, the decisive game 3 reached the average of 2.7 million viewers on ESPN and ESPNU, on average of 2.7 million, making it the most viewed NCAA softball game.
Overall, the three-game championship championship series average 2.2 million viewers, another record for the WCWS final. It represents an increase of 13 percent from 2024, when Oklahoma defeated Texas in two matches, which became the first program to win four direct softball National Championships.
The final had earlier set a viewership record in 2015, topping the former mark set (Florida on Michigan).
At the top of all this, ESPN set viewership records for each WCWS game: In the first and second game each, each attracted 2.1 million viewers to set the records of game 1 and game 2 records to set records of WCWS Championship series.
Creating its third WCWS final presence in four years, Texas defeated his kingdom rival for the first national championship of the program in softball. Tegan Kavan led in such a way that no one was earned in 31 2/3 innings on the WCWS N route, named the most outstanding player.
