Former South African wicketkeeper Mark Boucher praised the Mumbai Indians for a nine -wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhed Stadium on Sunday and gave it “really unilateral” results. The MI bowlers banned CSK till 176/5 despite half-centimeters from Shivam Dubey and Ravindra Jadeja, it was Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav who scored 76 and 68 runs respectively, to register the second gradual domestic victory of the season. “I was happy with that victory, it was really unilateral. Mumbai Indians are speaking about playing a close game, and I felt that they have come very close tonight. They bowl brilliantly and then batting in mind. It shows that when the team can leave for a good start, it shows.”
“Rohit Sharma did not need to score a hundred – just a solid 70 -half – and this is what he did. I like to see more – Rohit anchored one end through the innings. It sets the stage completely for players like Suryakumar and Tilak and to play those influential knocks,” he said.
Considering the propagation and importance of Mi vs. CSK Clash, Boucher said, “Mi vs. CSK game is always on a large scale – not only in India, but globally fans travel from all over the world to see this revenge. There is additional inspiration for anyone like Rohit, who scores a century in a century last season.
“What was for me tonight was that every senior player made a step for Mumbai Indians. It was a winning game, and he contributed everyone. This will take away the biggest positive MI from this match.”
Mumbai Indians will now take Sunrisers Hyderabad in a distant stability on Wednesday, while CSK will play against similar opponents in Chennai on Friday.
