RCB receives the report as World Cup winner Josh Hazlewood Boost – RCB received IPL 2025 resumes – reports

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Australian cricket team fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is set to return to India to play as IPL 2025 resumes for Bangalore. The report claimed that the fast bowlers will visit India soon, but no confirmation date was mentioned. Hazelwood left India after IPL 2025 for a week amid the border tension between India and Pakistan. However, after the ceasefire, the BCCI announced that the tournament would resume on 17 May and the final would be on 3 June. Hazelwood recalled the last game of RCB due to a shoulder injury and had questions on the WTC final as well as in the corner, their participation.
However, his return will greatly promote RCB as he has taken 18 wickets in 10 matches and has played a big role in guaranteeing the playoff spots for his team.
A source close to Hazelwood said on the condition of anonymity to the Hindustan Times, “Yes, Josh will visit India. We are discussing with the authorities about the exact date of their arrival.”
Meanwhile, the Australian pair of Seam-Bauling all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and wicketkeeper-boss Josh Englandis are expected to attend the Punjab Kings (PBK) for their IPL 2025 match against the Delhi Capital (DC) played on May 24 in Jaipur.
IANS further understands that so far, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlet, Azmatullah Omrajai, and Mitchell Owen have confirmed PBK that they will play the remaining part of IPL 2025 starting on May 17.
“Jensen, Bartlett, Omarjai and Owen are likely to attend the PBKS camp in Jaipur by tomorrow. For Stoinis and Illis, they will probably join the second game since the second game, which is against DC.
Both Inglis and Jansen are named in the squads of Australia and South Africa respectively, for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, began at Lord’s from 11 June. It is not yet known how long the pair will be available for PBKS in IPL 2025, which now ends on June 3.
