RCB for sale? Royal Challengers Bangalore owner is looking to sell franchise after IPL 2025 wins: reports

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) recently abolished their Hoodoo of not winning the IPL trophy after defeating PBK in the final of IPL 2025.
Just weeks after lifting their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) could be headed for a major ownership change. According to a report by Bloomberg, current owners Diageo Plc, the British spirits giant, are considering selling part or all of their stake in the franchise.
The report cites early-stage discussions with financial advisers, suggesting that Diageo is open to selling the franchise, possibly seeking a valuation of up to $2 billion (17,132 crore valuation). While no final decision has been made, the talks come at a crucial moment, right after RCB finally broke their title drought. However, a chaotic stampede in their quest to celebrate in Bengaluru has taken all the headlines recently.
