Ravindra Jadeja pushed Dwayne Bravo forward, became the main wicket of CSK

Ravindra Jadeja also violated 150 wickets for CSK in IPL and Champions League T20 Games.

Ravindra Jadeja became Chennai Super Kings’ most successful bowler in IPL with a fine show at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday. The veteran all-rounder picked up just a solitary wicket in the KKR vs CSK game, dismissing Ajinkya Rahane. That dismissal took him to 141 IPL wickets for CSK, taking him past Dwayne Bravo.

Jadeja goes past Bravo for CSK summit

Entering the KKR vs CSK clash, both Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo had 140 wickets for CSK. The left-arm spinner needed just 1 more to go to the summit for the franchise. On Wednesday, the all-rounder got the better of opposition skipper Ajinkya Rahane.

Jadeja now has 141 wickets in 171 IPL games, averaging 28.41 and striking at 22.3. Bravo, who incidentally is a mentor at KKR, had 140 wickets in just 113 innings for the five-time champions. Jadeja and Bravo are the only two players with more than 100 wickets for the Chennai Super Kings. He is fifth in the list with most wickets for a single franchise, and 10th in the overall IPL leaderboard.

With the bat, he’s the fifth-highest run getter for the franchise. Only MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis have scored more runs than the left-hander. This season, Jadeja has 260 runs in 12 games, while also has 8 wickets.
