The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulated Ravichandran Ashwin, when the experienced spinner was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri Award, which was part of the list of 2025 Padma Award winners, with India’s fourth largest civilian honor by President Draupadi Murmu. The announcement made on January 25, sees Ashwin as the only cricketer to be recognized this year, outlines his immense contribution to the game.

Ashwin’s career has been a journey of continuity, talent and match winning performances in the longest format of the game, especially in the longest format of the game.
