Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers are experiencing different feelings in the final game of the six-month regular session marathon.
While Lightning is tuning for another Postsen appearance and is excited by the ability of a deep run, Rangers are coming out of three consecutive sessions of at least 107 points, closing the doors on one of the more disappointing seasons in franchise history in New York on Thursday night.
Teams are meeting for the second time this month. Tampa Bay (47-26-8, 102 points) rolled in New York on 7th on April 7, scored three times on power play and scored three goals in the first interval of 1:45, which were all posted as Breeden Point, Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guestzel.

Kucherov has 29 of his 121 points (nine goals, 20 aids) in the last 16 matches. Point is wrapping its third straight 40-grass season and 10 goals in their last 13 matches.
Rangers (38-36–7, 83 points) 10 days ago Tampa Bay had six points from the second wild card after his second blowout loss and three-marks were returning from the journey. New York was abolished by Carolina Storm 7–3 on Saturday and is expecting a consecutive win after winning 5–3 in Florida on Monday.
Rangers are the fourth team in NHL history, who missed the playoffs after winning the President’s trophy last season and has 7–10-3 in their last 20 matches following a stretch of 15 games in 19 matches in 19 matches this season to release them from the playoff controversy.
Rangers will use the conclusion of their season to evaluate some of their young players such as Gab Periolt, Brett Berard and Matthew Robertson, who made their NHL debut and spent a share on the top defense pair with Adam Fox.
The young trio was played in one night when the Rangers ralled with two-goals and saw that the Vincent Trochek scored a tiebreaking goal while hitting the penalty in the third period.
“We’re still trying to win, even though we are out of the playoffs,” Juiceo Parsinon said the Rangers scored four direct goals to return their first multi-goal of the season, “You always want to win. We must be proud and have to play for our fans, even if we are not making the playoffs.”
