Rangers Hope Lineup Change vs. Athletics works

Texas Rangers hopes that the change in lineups paid a huge dividend, when he would collide with athletics in the middle game of the three-game American League West Series in West Sacramento, California on Wednesday night.

The right-handed Kumar rocker (1-2, 6.38 ERA) will begin to Texas, while the athletics mound will be sent to left hander JP Sears (2-2, 3.13).

Rangers changed their normal batting order for the opener of the Tuesday series, taking Josh Smith the leadoff spot, Kori Sear from the second to the third and Marcus Semian to the fifth place. The result was an 8–5 win with Texas scored the most runs in a game this season.

Witch Langford made three hits to lead the Texas attack, with Adolis Garcia and Semian recorded two. Semian had four RBI, including three -run domestic runs, while Langford, Smith and Jake Burger had single homes for Rangers.

Rangers were the only team in MLB to score seven runs in a game this year, but asked to rest in the fifth innings, when they took a 7–2 lead.

Sear was pulled from the game in the sixth innings, when the team announced tightness in their right hamstring.

Athletics scored the last three runs of the game and excluded four single homes by Miguel Enderzer, Laurence Butler, Louis Urus and Brent Rooker.

The rocker was solid in its most recent presence, scoring three runs on five hits with eight strikes and no walk in seven-inning stents, which ended in a 5–3 win over Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. It was a good bounce for the rocker after giving four runs on five hits in just 3 1/3 innings in the defeat in Seattle on 12 April.

This was Rocker’s first Major League win and first competed in seven innings in his professional career.

“Kumar has shown that he can do it at this level,” said Texas manager Bruce Bocha. “He can do it again.

“With Kumar, this is just about being consistent. This is the one good major league starter vs. someone separates everyone in Triple-A.”

The rocker has a 5.79 ERA against a career appearance and athletics, scoring three runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings in the necklace in Oklaland in the previous season.

Sears have won alternative losses and victory in their four matches this season. He last played six scorer innings in a 8–0 win over White Sox in Chicago on Thursday, allowing three hits, two walks and a pair out.

“This was one of the sports where I didn’t feel quite right with my mechanics,” Sears explained. “Quickly, I felt as if I was pulling the ball a little and my expansion was down. But it’s part of finding out, you know, throughout the season, it is still about capitalizing on our crime, scoring runs and just making good pitches when you have to do.”

The Sears is 4–1 and there are 4.15 ERAs in Rangers vs Eight Career Games (all start). He has given 21 runs on 40 hits in 40 1/3, while out of 40 against him and scored 14 runs.
