Randy Moss returns to ESPN in the role of a studio after cancer treatment

Athletic reported on Tuesday that Randy Moss has planned to return to ESPN and his NFL role on “Sunday NFL Countdown” this season.
Moss, 48, revealed that he received treatment for cancer that included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Cancer was found between his pancreas and liver, Moss said last year.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Wide Receiver returned to the set during the Super Bowl at New Orleans and said he hopes to return with the crew soon.
ESPN said in a statement to Athletic, “Randy’s return on Super Bowl Sunday was an emotional lift – not only for our team, but for the entire football community – and knowing that he will resume his full ‘Sunday NFL Countdown’ schedule starting in the week 1.”
ESPN giants Mike Greenberg hosted the pregem show with analysts Moss, Rex Ryan, Teddy Brochi and Alex Smith.
