Rajasthan Royals broke silence on ‘match-fixing charges’, demanding action …




The tension between Rajasthan Royals and Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has increased after the RCA ad hoc committee convenor Jaideep Bihani, raising doubts over the loss of RR’s recent 2-run for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. In response, the IPL franchise management has formally complained to the Chief Minister, Sports Minister and Sports Secretary, called for strict action against Bihani.

Deep Roy, a senior officer with the team, clearly dismissed Bihani’s statements as “false, baseless and without evidence”.

Bihani not only issued a statement suspecting the performance of the team, but also accused the Rajasthan Royals, Rajasthan Sports Council, and the Control Board for Cricket in India of ignoring the RCA ad hoc committee from IPL-related activities.

The RR management has strongly objected to these claims, stating, “We reject all the allegations made by the convenor of the ad hoc committee. Such public statements are not only misleading, but Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Sport Private Limited (RMPL), The Resthan Sports Council, and Dog Tarachi’s detailed losses.

The franchise emphasized its 18 -year partnership with the State Association and the government and in full compliance with the BCCI guidelines. According to the current BCCI’s current system, the Rajasthan Sports Council has kept official rights to host IPL matches in Jaipur for the ongoing season.

Royals clarified that they are working in coordination with both the council and the BCCI under the guidance of the State Government to ensure the successful conduct of the tournament. Earlier, Bihani said, RCA has successfully hosted ICC-BCCI international matches and competitions in the state.

But the Sports Council is plotting against the interests of the game by keeping the ad hoc committee set up by the government away from the IPL match held in Jaipur. The State Sports Council kept the RCA ad hoc committee away from the IPL event. He also did not make a recognition card for the members related to the incident, alleging.
