Against KKR, it was no different. After 71/5 in a phase, Ryan Parag played a brilliant knock of 95 runs in 45 balls to bring RR back into the game. However, he left without closing the game.
This ended all for RR, but his hopes were once again raised in the final. The previous six balls need 22 to win, the impact player Shubam Dubey took KKR Pacer Vaibhav Arora to the cleaner.
However, 3 runs are needed to win with the last ball, Dubey failed to connect, and Jofra Archer fell less from his ground as the batsmen tried to decide two.
Rajasthan Royals’ Stand-in Captain Ryan Parag felt that he missed the target and failed to finish the match as Kolkata Knight Riders won one run in an exciting encounter at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
“I was very sad about getting out myself. Perhaps a miscaliation from my side, I should have finished it. I think we could get a better option in the last six overs. I think they were 120 or 130 and our spinners had really done well and maybe we could cut their hands, but the game was in our hands.”
While showing his bowling performance in the match, Parag admitted that he could use his resources better against Andre Russell who scored 25-goals 57 runs at the end of the innings.
With five wins in 11 matches. KKR kept his playoffs alive and climbed sixth in the numeral table. KKR hosted Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens next Wednesday.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals take the MA to CSK at the bottom of the table clash at Chidambaram Stadium on May 12.
