Rabindra Jadeja’s cryptic social media post fuel retirement speculation, but reality …

Star India all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja recently posted a post on Instagram, thanked his fans for his best wishes. Jadeja’s post came with a picture of him in Test Whites. This story inferred Indian cricket fans on social media whether Jadeja was pointing out of the possible retirement from Test cricket, leaning out of the format of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. However, it seems that there is no reason to be worried, and Jadeja’s message was for a different reason.

Jadeja recently scored a record of holding the number 1 position in the ICC Test rankings for the longest all -rounders. Jadeja has held the post since the last time in 2022, which was 1,153 days at the top position.

It seems that Jadeja was thanking his fans for all the messages congratulating them about this achievement. This post had nothing to do with retirement.

Jadeja is expected to play an important role for India as he enters a difficult series against England in June in June. Veteran all-rounder, now 36, will be the oldest player in India setup if he is selected.

Meanwhile, the great former India spinner R Ashwin has recommended Ravindra Jadeja’s name for the role of India’s test captain after Rohit Sharma’s retirement.

Speaking on his YouTube channel ‘Ash Ki Butt’, Ashwin said, “I am very upset and disappointed that Jasprit Bumrah will not get captaincy (India). I think he is a national treasure.”

“There are clear choices, but I want to throw in another name too – Ravindra Jadeja,” said Ashwin.

Jadeja has represented India in 80 trials, scoring 3,370 runs and has taken 323 wickets, making him fifth among India’s all -time top wickets.
