Two squads, who have their primary quarterbacks sick and have just a joint victory this season on Sunday night, when Toronto Argonats visit Ottawa Redblack.

On the final injury report of the week, Argonauts announced that Chad Kelly, the most outstanding player of 2023, would not start his season. Kelly broke her right leg and fibula in the East final in Montreal last November and missed the winning gray cup competition on Vinnipag Blue Bombers next week.

“Certainly not this week, of course not next week. I am hoping that (Kelly will return).” “He is getting better, but he is not yet fully full of being able to protect himself in his pocket. You never know with these things – it may take a little longer and then he may come back next week.”

Kelly was a limited practice participant on Wednesday, but missed the system on Thursday and Friday.

Argonauts (0-3) have left for a poor start and last week Suskechen Rafarders had a bitter loss of 39–32. Toronto, after tying the game with a game of 23 seconds, returned to the upcoming kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown of Suskechewan.

Argos rank scoring crime (20.3 points per game) and final in total crime (306.7 yards per game).

Nick Arbakal started the first three matches of Argonauts and led the CFL with 841 yards, but also threw the most barriers (five). The most outstanding players of last year’s gray cup are four touchdown passes.

Meanwhile, Ottawa missed the last two matches to start quarterbacks Drew Brown (HIP), limited in practice all week and has been declared for Saturday competition. Dustin Krum is being prepared to start for the second straight week.

Krum was passing only 9–22 for 111 yards and a touchdown, but he helped Redlack (1-2) win 20–12 road over Calgary Stampders.

“We always ask everyone more,” said Ottawa’s coach Bob Dies. “But we were very happy what Dustin did. I felt that he had a lot of command of crime.”

Ottawa is seventh in Scoring (21.3) and eighth in total crime (327.3).
