PWHL Seattle Sign Mikla Grant-Pays for a two-year deal

Montreal S. Mikala Grant-Pays (18) takes Pak to PPG Paints Erina at Pittsburgh, PA through the neutral area during the second period against Toronto on 17 March 2024.

PWHL Seattle announced the signing of Forward Mikla Grant-Pays for a two-year agreement through the 2026-27 season.

The 26-year-old Grant-Panis joined the expansion team after registering eight points in 30 matches with Montreal Victor in the previous season. He spent the inaugural PWHL season with Ottawa after four sessions at the PHF, where Grant-Second was nominated to the league MVP in 2021.

Meghan Tuner, General Manager of PWHL Seattle, said, “Mikala is a skilled ahead that brings a dynamic element to our crime.” “She has a great ability to find an open space in the aggressive area and carries forward the speed through the neutral area to create opportunities with rush. We are excited to add his vision and creativity to our group in Seattle.”

Grant-Panis is a Brampton, Ontario native, who has graduated from the Merimac College as the all-time leading scorer of the program. He is the fourth player who has been added to the roster of Seattle since the expansion draft, which includes the further Lexy Edzija and Natalie Snowdagrass with defender Maria Keopal.

“I am super excited to get an opportunity to play for PWHL Seattle in my inaugural season,” said Grant-Mantis. “Playing in climate pledge last year for the takeover tour, you can feel that women’s energy for hockey was Seattle. I can’t wait to start things in a city that is very emotional about women’s game.”
