Prabhasimran Singh’s father, was going through dialysis three times per week, only smiles when the son plays

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season has seen some youths the Center stage with their brilliant performance. Many such emerging stars are the inaugural batsman of Punjab Kings Prabasimran Singh, who missed the Lucknow super veterans on Sunday in a century. As Prabasimron called his ailing father after his 48-ball 91, the message he received was that the batsman threw his wicket after being close to a century.
Prabhasimran’s father, Sardar Surjit Singh, does not pass through the best time, which is done three times a week. In such a complex time, Prabhasimran’s performance for PBKs on the pitch somehow managed to bring a smile on Surjit Singh’s face.
Surjit Singh’s brother Satwinderpal Singh told The Times of India, “These days he smiles only once when he sees Prabhasimran’s bat in the IPL.”
“He is undergoing dialysis three times a week. As an elder brother, I can’t see the pain that he is permanent. I have to get out of the house when doctors come home for dialysis. One day I haven’t gone that I have not prayed that it is not my younger brother,” Singh.

While Prabhasimran is ruling Rost with his bat across the country, his father and uncle sit in front of television in Patiala and enjoy their performance. In fact, when Surjeet sees his son Prabasimran hitting a grain shot, he shouts in front of the TV, saying that he should play carefully.
“Before every Punjab Kings match, I take him to the living room. We watch the match together, and every time the camera is on Simu, he smiles. If Simu scores, he keeps smiling and laughing. In those moments, he forgets that pain. If Simu forgets a rash shot, he shouts, he shouts,”
When Prabasimron called his father after a 91 -run knock against Lucknow, he was scolded by Surjeet not to complete the ton.
Satwinderpal said with laughter, “Simu video called an update about Surjeet on Monday morning. And my brother gave him back saying why he threw his wicket after being close to a hundred.”
“Shouting in Simmu, he gasps for breath. Every time I have to intervene and he is asked to praise the child, because he is playing so well.”
Prabsimran has emerged as the top run-goldter for PBKs in this season, even captain Shreyas Iyer has surpassed.
