  • Special Rule (Day 3): The “Smash Rule” will be applied on Day 3 of the Grand Finals.
Smash Rule (Applied on Day 3 of Grand Finals):
The Smash Rule introduces a dynamic ending to the tournament:
  • Regular Play: Teams will play using regular tournament rules until a team reaches a pre-determined “Match Point” threshold.
  • Match Point Calculation: The Match Point for this stage is calculated as: (Top 1 team’s points after Match #12 of the Grand Finals) + 10 points.
  • Match Point Eligibility: Once a team reaches or surpasses the calculated Match Point threshold, they become “Match Point Eligible” for all subsequent matches.
  • Winning Condition: The first team to secure a “WWCD” (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) after they have become Match Point Eligible will automatically be crowned the Winner/Champion of the stage and, by extension, the tournament.
  • Maximum Matches: A maximum of 6 matches will be played on Day 3.
  • Alternative Winning Condition: If, after all 6 matches on Day 3, none of the Match Point Eligible teams manage to claim a WWCD, then the team with the most overall points will emerge as the Winner/Champion.
