“Players like Bumrah ..,” EX-RCB star IPL’s Purple Cap Award

Awards for Orange Cap or Purple Cap cannot reflect the most “impressive” batsman of a special IPL season.
Former Indian International and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Batter has claimed rejection of the ‘Purple Cap’ award in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The iconic hat is given to the most successful bowler, in the context of the wicket, in a special IPL season. However, Kaif feels that it does not reflect a great contribution made by bowlers such as Jasprit Bumrah or Sunil Narin.
IPL’s purple hat flawed?
Kaif argued that the current system is flawed, prominently cited as a skilled bowler who is known for the ability to restrict the run. Kaif said that batsmen often play carefully against bowlers like Bumrah, who can limit their wickets opportunities. Despite this, the rate of Bumrah’s economy is untouched. Kaif questioned whether the Purple Cap should be fully honored on the basis of wickets, whether the bowler’s overall impact on the game
,Rules, how the law of the purple cap, the highest wicket -taking, which is given the purple cap. I am not happy with this rule because players like Jasprit Bumrah, Sunil Narin or Rashid Khan have not yet won the purple cap in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Because the players bat carefully while bowling Bumrah.Mohammad Kaif said on a video shared on “X”.
What Kaif said, it can also be considered right for the Orange Cap, as well as the highest run-songs of the season. Typically, the top-order batsman, despite not scoring runs at amazing strike rate, removes the prestigious award. Whereas “influential” batsmen who take away the protests are quite combative, no recognition.
In the case of Purple Cap, there are only three examples where the bowlers with the highest wicket in a tournament have also ended with an IPL Trophy. Sohail Tanveer (RR) and RP Singh (DCG) did Bhuvneshwar Kumar (SRH) in the first two years in the first two years, which was lucky enough to win both Purple Cap and IPL Trophy in 2016. 14 times rest, purple cap winners did not taste the championship.
