Pitching Boys Brews with a chance to win the series in Marlins

Visiting Atlanta Braves had the opportunity to win their fourth consecutive series against Miami Marlins on Sunday afternoon.
After the beginning of June with seven direct defeats, Braves won eight out of 11 matches, including a 7–0 win over Miami on Saturday. Starter Grant Homes and Three Atlanta Relievers jointly recorded the fifth shutout of the club season – and this year recorded Miami’s second in four meetings – to reduce the team’s era by 3.65.
Atlanta will need a continuous success from its employees after the National League Cyg Young winner Chris Cell is placed in the 15-day injured list. Sales, who diverted their ribs for a grounder in a win over New York Met on Wednesday, owns NL’s third best era at 2.52.
“It’s just a strange thing, an unfortunate thing,” said Brevs Manager Brian Snight. “With such bones, they have already recovered before starting the process, but I don’t know how long it will happen.”
Holmes, who threw a 5 2/3 scorer innings against Miami on Saturday, resonated his manager’s views.
“This is a big shock, but we are going to come to Ballpark and try to put something on the Way board every day,” Holmes said. “She is a very large part of this team. Chris sells in the clubhouse for herself. She is a great leader. A great team partner. A great friend.”
Bryus Elder (2-4, 4.45 ERA) will start the 12th of the season after leaving the last time in rotation. Elder did not pitch from June 13, when he allowed four runs in 3 1/3 innings against Colorado Rockies. Braves won 12–4.
Elder has faced Marlins compared to any other team in his four-year career, compiling 2–29 records with 2.89 ERA in 46 2/3 innings at the beginning of eight career against Miami.
Marlins dropped his third game in four outings on Saturday, while this year was closed for the sixth time. In defeat, Miami saw her second largest domestic crowd of the season with a presence of 21,198. Manager Clayton McColo hopes that Marlins is looking for his first series win over Atlanta since September 2023 on Sunday.
“It was great to discuss something at the stadium,” said McCol. “It’s unfortunate that the final score looks like this method, but I felt that it was a game where it was a swing of batting with some flipping. But it was a great atmosphere in the landpot (park) and more expected to come.”
On Sunday, Miami’s Starter, Sandy Alakantara (3-8, 6.88), Tommy John is still watching his NL Cy Sai Young Form after winning the award in 2022 before all last year’s disappearance after surgery.
Alkantara is 1-1 with 2.12 ERA through three in June after posting 9.28 ERA in April and 8.64 ERA in May. The 29-year-old right-handed batsman allowed two runs in five innings on Monday, losing 5–2 to visit Philadelphia Philos.
It is 4-4 with 2.94 ERA in 82 2/3 innings at the beginning of 13 career against the brave.
