Prior to Tuesday’s game against Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates started Catcher Joy Bart from the 7-day injured list.
Bart has not been played since May 27, when he was raised in the fifth innings after taking back the helmet in his helmet in the fifth innings and hitting a foul ball against Arizona Diamondback.
The 28 -year -old Catcher, who was sitting out of 17 games, posted a .240/.347/.308 slash line in 44 matches this season. He started the year, but went to 4 -for -43 with a double, one RBI and three walks in his last 12 matches before going to IL.
During his five-gam rehab assignment with Triple-e Indianpolis, Bart went to 3-for-13 with two RBI, four walks and a hit-by-pitch.
