Pirates Hammer Mets, finish three-game sweeps with 30 runs

Onil Cruz scored two domestic runs and scored four RBI, Henry Davis made four hits and hosts Pittsburgh Pirates completed the three-market sweep of New York Met’s with a 12–1 rout on Sunday afternoon.

Ke’bryan Hayes continued his rudeness with three and hits and two RBI as the Pirates recorded their first sweep on Mets since 14-16 August 2015. This was his second series sweep of the season.

In three days, the Pirates scored 30 runs on the mates, who lost the third consecutive and dropped 13 of their last 16 matches.

According to the broadcast of the Pirates, this was the first time Pittsburgh won all three games against Philadelphia Philos on 13–15 May 1935 since seven or more runs since May 13–15.

Cruz scored his 14th and 15th domestic runs of the season, and started the Pirates quickly with the first innings of five runs when he shut down the Mets Starter Franky Montas (0–1). Tommy Fam added his second home run in the first year.

Montas made his second start in the uniform of Mates and scored six runs on seven hits and walked out of five innings.

Cruise logged into its second two-home game of the season and before 23 May.

Brian Reynolds hit his 10th home run in the fifth reliable Dicky Loveladi, signed on a major league contract on Sunday. Hayes chased with a double and later scored two batsmen on an RBI single by the form.

Luis Torrence and Jeff McNell had two hits to lead each to lead the mates, while Brandon Nimmo and Tyrone Taylor were a double in each.

Torrence hit his second home run of Pirates starter Mike Baroz in the fifth innings for New York’s loan run.

Baroz played 4 1/3 innings, with one run and a walk on four hits, while out of five. Genesis Cabrera threw a scorer inning and Carmen Molodzinsky (2-5) threw the 3 2/3 scorer innings, leading to two hits and two strikes.
