The 26 -year -old Johnson has done 2.25 ERA in two relief appearances (four innings) for Philips this season, including two scorching innings on Wednesday in Game 1 of a doublehead against San Diego Padress.
The 23-year-old Abel lasted 2–2 with 5.04 ERA in six since its launch of his major league on 18 May. Abel scored more than four runs, but scored nine runs in his next two, including five in five in the 1 2/3 innings.
