The Zack Wheeler allowed two runs and four hits in seven innings to help Philadelphia Philos 8–4 against Tampa Bay Rez, in their three-game series openers on Tuesday night.
Wheeler (3–1) hit nine and this season did not run a batsman for the third time in eight.
Nick Castalonos sang in three runs, doubled, run home and went, Kyle Schwar sung twice and scored two runs, and Alek Boht finished with a single, homer and two RBI for Philips, who won seven out of nine.
Tampa Bay Starter Drew Rasmusen (1-3) allowed three runs and five hits in 4 1/3 innings. He hit two and two left. Yandi Diaz worked for rays before leaving in the sixth innings with a strange swing and a clear injury after Miss.
Schwarber led the second innings, with a contrasting region’s homer for a 1-0 lead.
After a double and after walking for Max Capler by Castellanos, Rasmussen survived more damage by receiving almost a double play. But Bohm also went to take a 3–0 lead for two-outs, two-rins homer in another way.
This was the first domestic run of the season for Bohm, which had 16 average in the last three seasons.
Brandon Love doubled to reach fourth position for rays, before Diaz cut the wheeller 3-2 deep over the fence in the area of the right-center.
The wheeler then retired nine in a row, before Jonathan Aranda sang to reach the seventh position. The wheeler hit Kamran Misner and then the junior camenero received a 5-4-3 double play for his last batsman.
Train Turner and Bryas Harper started the eighth place for Philadelphia. Schwarber excluded an RBI single from the reach of Diving Right Fielder Travis Jankovski, so that it was 4–2. After Castellanos, another opposite-sector homer and 7-2 leads got a three-run shot in the seats on the right.
Orion Kerring gave relief to the wheeler to start the eighth and gave a sacrifice fly to Chandler Simpson and cut it 7-3.
Castellanos got back the run with RBI single in the ninth, making it 8-3.
Camenero asked to trim an 8–4 lead over a sacrifice fly in the ninth.
