Phillies 11 gets a 5-game skid by cub in 11

Brandon Marsh knocked on the winning run in the 11th innings as host Philadelphia Philis reduced the Chicago cub by 4-3 on Monday.

Otto Kemp recorded the first three hits of its leading league career for Philadelphia, losing nine of its last 10 matches, including five in a row. Nick Castelanos also made three hits as Philis gave his fourth loss to Chicago in six matches.

In the 11th, the cub proceeded 3–2 against Carlos Hernandez (1-0), as Pete Crow-Armystrong doubled RBI from the right field wall. However, the Philos immediately tied it-and then the lower half against the win-danny palaces (0-2).

JT Realmuto started the frame to the right with a line, tied the score to 3-3. The next two batsmen, Bryson Stot and Camp, reached the fully executed bunts, loading the base.

Marsh threw his peers out of the dugout, with an explosion at the base of the wall in the left-center area.

Chicago took an initial 1–0 lead, which as the second batsman of the game as a kyle tucker, 1-2 fastball of the Zack Wheeler was sent deep into the right field seats. Philadelphia also attracted fourth on Realmuto’s run-scoring groundout.

The wheeler silenced the cubs at the top of the fifth, giving Philips a chance to go in front of the bottom. Camp launched a rally with a leadoff single for the left-center for his first career hit. He upgraded two locations on a wrong pickoff throw by Matthew Boyd and then provoked in Weston Wilson’s right.

The score remained 2–1 until Ian Hap launched a game-tying homer from Matte Stharum with one in the eighth.

The wheeler allowed one run and three hits in six innings. He went one and hit seven.

Boyd was accused of two runs – one earned – and eight hits in six frames. He went two and did not exclude a batsman.
