
Former NFL Executive Vice President Brian Rolap was named the CEO of PGA Tour and PGA Tour Enterprises on Tuesday.
53 -year -old Rollup spent 22 years with NFL. He will replace the day-to-day operation of the PGA Tour in this summer in the place of the current Commissioner J. Monahan, who will step down at the end of his contract in 2026.
According to the PGA Tour, Monahan will focus on his role as a member of the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Enterprises Board during the remaining time of his tenure. Monahan took over as Commissioner in 2017.
Monahan said in a statement, “A year ago, I informed my boards that when completing a decade as commissioner, I will move away from my role in late 2026.” “Since then, we have worked together to identify a leader that can create our speed and develop a process that ensures a smooth transition. We have found a perfect leader in Brian Rollup, and I am excited to support him as he infection from NFL in his new role led by PGA Tour.”
The search committee for the new CEO included Monahan, Tiger Woods, Adam Scott – both players of the Policy Board – and Arthur Blanc, NFL’s Atlanta Falcons owner and PGA Tour Enterprises Management, Development and Chairman of the Committee.
Rollup stands as a natural fit, which has been the leading media and business officer of NFL during the exponential growth period by the league. He is considered a possible successor for Commissioner Roger Goodll, and is unlikely to be a new role as a CEO in a separate supporter sports attempt.
Rolapp joined NFL in 2003 and has been in its current role of advertising, sponsorship and media contracts since 2017. Earlier, he was NFL Chief Operating Officer and Senior VP of Media Strategy and Digital Media. He was also the CEO of NFL Network and also an executive VP of NFL Media.

Woods appreciated the arrival of Rolap in the PGA Tour.
“Brian’s appointment is a win for players and fans,” Woods said in a statement. “He has a clear respect for sports and our players and brings a new approach from his experience in NFL. I am excited about what is next – and with Bryan’s leadership that Bryan’s leadership, we will continue to visit in ways that benefit everyone who loves this game.”
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday at a press conference a press conference before this week’s Travelers Championships in Cromwell, Con, Rollup was asked about the challenges to keep a fracture game back together.
“When it comes to the situation with live (golf), I think it’s a complex situation that is probably something that I should learn more before speaking,” he said. “But I would say that my focus is on increasing the tour, which has improved it, and is actually moving beyond the status of strength that he has.”
