Parent RHP Louis Ortiz on leave by MLB

Major League baseball announced on Thursday, Cleveland Guardian Right-Hander Louis Ortis was placed on non-disciplinary payment holiday through the end of the all-star brake.

The 26 -year -old Ortiz was slated to start against host Chicago cub on Thursday.

The team said in a statement, “Parents have been informed that Louis Ortis has been on leave as per an agreement with the Players Association due to an ongoing league investigation.” “Parents are not allowed to comment further at this time and will respect the confidential discovery of the league.”

Ortis is 4-9 with 4.36 ERA in 16 this season. The native of the Republic of Dominican was acquired as a three-tim trade from Pittsburgh Pirates, which included Toronto Blue Jais on 10 December.

Ortis has 16–22 records with 4.05 ERA in 75 Career Games (50 Starts), and pirates (2022–24) and parents.

The left-handed Joy Campratio (1-0, 3.81 ERA) will get the node in place of the Ortis and will have its first start on Thursday. The 25 -year -old camp has so far faced cubs in his career.
