Panthers Top Oilrs to take one win away from another straight cup

Brad Marchand scored twice for Florida Panthers, who won by repeating as Stanley Cup champions with a 5–2 win against hosts Edmonton Oilrs on Saturday.

Eetu Luostarinen had a target and one aid, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 19 savings for panthers, who can get a trophy at home at Sunrise, Fla on Tuesday.

Connor McDwid and Corey Perry scored for the olers. Calvin Picard rescued 14.

Marchand gave Florida a 1-0 lead at 9:12 of the first period. He rushed a loose from a center-i face-off, went around the Matias Ekhom inside the Edmonton Zone and skating the left hash mark before the roof of the snapshot.

Bennett made it 2–0 at 18:06 when he collected a rebound of Matthew Takachuk Shot, which was blocked and was quickly expelled from the picard.

The oilers were likely to cut a deficit in the second round, with a pair of power play in the frame, but it could not change.

Marchand extended it 3–0 at 5:12 of the third period. Experienced retaliated a pass from Lustarinn in the neutral region, taking it inside the zone, and jumped around the left circle to the defenseman Jake Walman over the left circle before slipping on the picard.

But Reinhart calmed the crowd when he responded 46 seconds after Florida. Alexander Barkov assembled the puck behind the net and sent a backhand feed to Reinhart, which made it 4–1 from the left circle at 8:10 from the left circle via two Edmonton Defenseman and the previous picard.

With the picard drawn to the additional attacker, Perry narrowed it 4–2 when she exploded an explosion from the blue line via traffic at 16:47.

Luostarinen scored an empty-ane goal at 18:41 for the 5–2 finals.
