Panthers f Matthew Takchuk a game-time decision vs Lightning

Florida Panthers Forward Matthew Takchuk will be a game-time decision for the first round series vs. host Tampa Bay Lightning Sports 1 of the Eastern Conference on Tuesday.
Panthers coach Paul Maurice said on Tuesday morning that the availability of Takachuk will be determined after the warmup.
The 27-year-old Tkachuk has been sidelined since retaining a back injury on February 15 after maintaining a face-to-face injury during 4 nations on 4 February. He returned to action five days later and logged into the championship game of 6:47 snow to lose 3–2 in Canada.
He scored a total of 57 points (22 goals, 35 support) in 52 matches this season for panthers.
The 2024 Stanley Cup champion with Florida, Tkachuk has a total of 636 points (240 goals, 396 support) in 642 career games with Calgary Flames (2016-22) and panthers.
