Panthers C Alexander Barkov repeated as Sailke winner

For the third consecutive year and for the third consecutive sessions, Alexander Barkov, the captain of Florida Panthers captain Alexander Barkov, was named Selke Trophy winner on Monday as NHL’s best defensive forward.
29, 29, who also won the award for the 2020-21 season, secured 96 votes and recorded 1,363 points to defeat the Panthers team partner Sam Renehart (837 points). Out of 191 ballot papers, 173 appeared at Barkov.
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Anthony Sirli finished third with 828 points.
Berkov was also announced on Monday as the winner of the King Chinse Memorial Trophy for his leadership and contribution to the community. He was presented both trophies at the Children’s Hospital in Dimagio in Hollywood, Fla.
“Very surprised,” Barkov said about Selke. “I was not expecting it. When he brought another trophy, it was too heavy to me. I really honored that award.”
Barkov recorded 71 points (20 goals, 51 support) in 67 matches this season. He also won 56.5 percent faceoffs during the 2024-25 campaign. He recorded 54 blocks and 34 tech -offs during the regular season.
He has recorded 16 blocks in 17 points (six goals, 11 aids) and 17 postson games, taking defending champions panthers to his second consecutive Stanley Cup final. He is winning 57.9 percent of his faceoffs in the playoffs.
