Pakistan’s star Danish Kaneria’s ‘extremist’ serious allegations against Shahid Afridi: “Refused to share …”

Former Pakistan cricket team player and the country’s highest wicket -taking spinner, Danish Kaneria has made some serious allegations against former captain Shahid Afridi. The fourth among the players of Pakistan is the fourth highest wicket -taking wickets after Kaneria, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Imran Khan with 261 Scalps. As a spinner, Kaneria played from 2000 to 2010. Afridi was also his team partner and two shared dressing rooms.

Now responding to a post on X about Shahid Afridi, Kaneria made some big allegations: “He has consistently aligned himself with extremist ideas. In my opinion, he should not be given a platform on Indian television or the country. In addition, he tried to convince me to convert to Islam and refused to share food with me.

Danish Kaneria earlier alleged that he faced heavy discrimination in Pakistan and his career was destroyed. Kaneria said that he did not get the same price and respect in Pakistan. He participated in the Congress briefing on Wednesday (local time) on the ‘plight of minorities in Pakistan’. Speaking to ANI, on the occasion of the incident, Kaneria said, “Today, we all gathered here and expressed how we all faced discrimination and raised our voices. I had to face discrimination in Pakistan and my career was destroyed.

“I did not get the same value, respect in Pakistan … All the people who came here used to talk against discrimination, how Pakistan treated them. Therefore, the main objective was to spread awareness among all, especially we, how people are suffering and problems that are present in Pakistan and take action against it.”

Kaneria played 61 Tests for Pakistan and after Anil Dalpat is only the second Hindu in the Pakistani cricket team. Kaneria is Pakistan’s highest wicket -taking spinner in 61 matches, with 261 scalps.
