After a day for WNBA on Monday, the Commissioner Cup continues to face the host Seattle Storm to visit Pacific Northwest with Dallas Wings on Tuesday. This is the matchup of two teams, which brings multi-games losers in the WNBA annual in-season tournament.

At 1-6, the Dallas side is on a two-game losing streak with a pair of necklace in the Chicago sky over a gap of three days. On Thursday night, five points fell in the wings, but when the Ruki star Paigie Beukers maintained a fusion, lost it even more, which stopped him from playing in Dallas’ 94–83 Sunday defeat. This began the absence of a compulsory two-game according to the WNBA’s Constion Protocol, which means that Bueckers will not suit against 3-4 storms on Tuesday.

Nalisa Smith was a bright place for Dallas on Sunday, with team-high 20 points with five rebounds and three blocks, but wings crime struggled without beukers, the game 6.7 is the fourth highest in the WNBA.

“I think we have found to find the tempo on which we can succeed. You are not playing with a true point guard in the lineup, so you had all the different people of all kinds of people who brought the ball up,” said the head coach of Wings Chris Koklans. “It was a little clutter several times.”

In the offsen launched by the new general manager Kurt Miller, Dallas’ roster overhaul meant that Wings expected early bumps in the season, but an existing league high three-game losing streak for the storm was unpredictable.

On May 30, Seattle took an 11-point lead against Atlanta’s dream in the first half, but was ruled out of 60–42 in the second half. Then, on Sunday, the Las Vegas Aces took a 27–17 lead after a quarter and did not look back in the 75–70 defeat for the storm.

“We don’t have an excuse with such rosters,” said Storm Forward Gabby Williams. “This shows how we start on defense because it is considered our strength and this is the thing we can trust, even if the shots are not falling, we should be able to rely on our defense, so if we lack our defense, it is really difficult to win the game.”

With Bueckers, Dallas will have trouble defending the Seattle Guard Skyler Digins, a career average for 6.6 per game and its best scoring season since 2022 at 17.9 points per game.
