
San Diego Padress Left-Hander Adrian Morezone was nominated to the National League All-Star team on Friday, replacing Philos’ right-hand pitcher and Sai Young candidate Zack Wheeler.
The 26-year-old Morjon will participate in his first all-star game in his seventh season in the League. It is 7-3 with 1.71 ERA with 0.83 whip in 45 relief shows this season. He allowed just nine walks in 42 innings and thrown 39 strikes.
Morezone is the fifth address player to be nominated for this year’s All-Star team, marking the second straight year, Padress has sent five players to the midsmor classic. Moni Machao is from Padress joining Morjon, who will start on a third basis for NL, Fernando Tatis is coming out of the junior bench, and will take Robert Suarez and Setup Man Jason Adam closely in Bulpen.
The all-star game will be held on Tuesday at Atlanta, wheeler’s hometown.
There was a lot of discussion in recent weeks whether wheelers or Pittsburgh Pirates would earn an early place on Right-Hander Paul Skens Game Day. However, the wheeler withdrew to focus on the second half of the season instead of allegedly participating in his third all-star game.
Wheeler, 35, 18 in 18 is 9-3 with 2.17 ERA. He leads the National League with 148 strikeouts, and his era is only the second best behind the scanus (1.94 ERA), thrown into over 100 innings.
