Padress right -handed U Darwish will start his season, when San Diego hosts Arizona Diamondback on Monday night.

Five-stars have been sidelined all the season due to inflammation of the elbow. He was approved after throwing a side session on Saturday and is expected to be limited to 75 pitches.

“We are excited to happen,” Shield said about the return of Darvish. “This was really found back to check all the boxes – being able to keep the simulated games, recovery, bullpense … being able to keep the velocity.”

The 38 -year -old Darwish is with Padress in his fifth season. She is 39–32 with 3.79 ERA out of 100 for San Diego.

Overall, the Darwish 282 is 110–88 with 3.58 ERAs, which begins with Texas Rangers (2012–17), Los Angeles Dojers (2017), Chicago Covered (2018-20) and Padress. Tommy John missed the 2015 season with Texas after undergoing surgery.

Padresses can definitely use Darwish, as co-handed-handed Michael King (shoulder nerve issue) has missed the last six-plus weeks. The up-and-down dialing struggle is currently the team’s number 1 starter.

On 14 May, Darwish made a four-inning rehab for Triple-eel Paso, but after the onset there were more elbow issues, and more pushed back his expected return.

Darwish did not start a rehabilitation this time.

Right-handed Zack Gallen (6-9, 5.45) will begin for Arizona in a four-game opener opener.
