Padres-Phillies postponed, club to play doublehead on Wednesday

The game of Tuesday night between San Diego Padress and host Philadelphia Philos was postponed due to bad weather.

Both teams will play a split doubleheader on Wednesday. Game 1 is scheduled for ET and Game 2 at 1:05 pm which is scheduled for 6:15 pm

Padress is expected to start Nick Pivatea (8-2, 3.36 ERA) in the opener and in Game 2 partner right-handed dialing conflict (3-7, 4.53).

Philadelphia will probably send the mound to the right-handed Mick Abel (2–1, 3.47) in game 1 and exclude the left-handed Christopher Sanchez (6-2, 2.79) for the nightcap.

Phillies won the three-game series 4–0 opener on Monday.
