Indiana Paise Star Tierich Heliberton is preparing to play in the NBA final for the first time and is firmly established as one of the best players in the league.

Nevertheless, the level of satisfaction never sinks for the pre-three-star recruitment in Oshkosh North in Wisconsin and the player did just 109 games in his career by Sacramento Kings.

“It will never stop. I think it’s part of my drive,” Heliberton said on Wednesday, Pacers visit Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of NBA Final a day earlier. “Obviously, I want to be the best. I want to be great. I want to squeeze every ounce of God provided capacity that I have to be the best player that I can be.

“But any doubt is always good for me. I love to hear the stuff. I will keep telling you in a few moments that it does not matter what people say. But it matters and I enjoy it.”

At the age of 25, two-time all-star Heliberton has overcome the growth of pacers by crossing the expectation of others.

When the schools of the elite did not grace Heliberton, he went to the state of Iowa. He was in the midst of the 2019–20 Sophomore campaign with Cyclone, when he maintained the season-ending fracture left wrist.

He announced for the 2020 NBA draft and was selected by Sacramento Kings to 12th position in total. During his second season, the Kings decided that they needed to choose between D’Oron Fox or Haliburton as their point guard. Fox was placed and Heliberton was dealt with pacers in February 2022.

Even though Sacramento received the Damentas Sabonis in the deal, Indiana has gained a better end of the transaction. In fact, the Kings no longer have a fox.

It was not easy for Heliberton to do business, but he is sure that the way he did than grateful things. He provided more fuel.

“I think great people try to find external inspiration as much as they can and this is something that always works for me,” said Heliberton. “I think what you are saying. It’s not solid who I am. I know who I am. I don’t have to tell anyone who I am or I am a player or person. I am grounded in myself. … But I think additional doubts, extra fuels always help.”

Heliberton took an average of 18.6 points, 9.2 assistance and 3.5 rebounds in 73 regular-season games this season. In the playoffs, it is an average 18.8 points, 9.8 assistance and 5.7 rebounds.

Now a small town child who used to attend college in a small place is happy on a big stage. But he is ready to listen to Indianapolis mentioned as a small market.

“I just feel like being in Indie, like, this is a great place for me,” Heliberton said. “Indie is a very big place, as much as I am also addicted.

“So, I like to live in Indie. Indi has been a great place for me and my family. My whole family now lives there. We like to live there. It is very fun for me. I don’t need a big city or anything of anything.”
